Firstlook was founded in early 2019 by a team of PhD scientists with Artificial Intelligence and entrepreneurial experience.

The company participated in the class of 2020 Health Wildcatters Accelerator Program in Dallas, TX.

Ashish Basuray, PhD

CEO & Cofounder

Dr Ashish Basuray brings 20 years of healthcare management experience, pedogeological theory and entrepreneurship. In addition, Dr. Basuray currently serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at Northwestern University, where he completed his PhD and Post-Doctoral Fellowship.

Brody Holohan, PhD

CTO & Cofounder

Dr Brody Holohan completed his PhD at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, followed by the Ebenreiter Precision Medicine Research Fellowship at Marshfield Clinic

Ryan LaRanger, PhD

COO & Cofounder

Dr Ryan LaRanger completed his PhD at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, followed by the a Post-doctoral Fellowship at Yale. He holds a management degree from the Keck Graduate Institute. He works as a Senior Scientific Consultant with experience in B2B operations and business development for the healthcare sector.

Tim Taxter, MD

CMO & Cofounder

Dr Timothy Taxter completed his MD at the University of Florida, followed by a MBA from Northwestern University. In addition, Dr Taxter also serves as Senior Medical Director at Tempus Labs. Dr Taxter received the Developmental Therapeutics Fellowship from Northwestern University, as well as serving as a physician at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
